Popular Canadian singer Celine Dion was born into a large musical family; she is known to have 13 siblings altogether. Although most of Celine’s brothers and sisters share the same music passion as her, she remains the most famous of them having released several best-selling albums like  Falling Into You (1996) and A New Day Has Come (2002).

Being the youngest of her brothers and sisters, Celine enjoyed all the love and support she could ever have wanted from the people closest to her. The 55-year-old singer once said she learned everything she needed to know from her siblings; for her, real life existed around them.

All of Dion’s brothers and sisters are currently excelling in different fields of endeavor. Sadly, she lost her brother Daniel Dion on January 16, 2016, to cancer. This incident occurred two days after Celine lost her husband René Angélil to the same disease.

Meet Celine Dion’s Brothers and Sisters—All 13 Of Them

Celine has a total of 8 sisters and 5 brothers, all birthed by her parents Thérèse and Adhémar Dion. Her sisters are Claudette, Ghislaine, Linda, Liette, Louise, Pauline, Manon, and Denise while her brothers are Clément Dion, Paul, Jacques, Michel Dondalinger, and Daniel.

According to sources, it was Celine’s brother, Michel, that sent her first recording to René Angélil and got her noticed for the first time. Keep reading to know more about all her siblings.

1. Denise Dion

Born on August 16, 1946, Denise is the oldest of all of Celine Dion’s siblings. The 77-year-old is not a singer like her siblings but has been a very strong support system for Celine throughout her music career. 

With her late husband Yvou Daudier, Denise is a mother of six children: Christian, Francis, Nancy, Yolaine, Josiane, and, Annick.

Her daughter Nancy is also a mother of two children named Boby and James Guertin with her husband, Daniel Guertin.

2. Clement Dion

Clement, 76, is the eldest son of the Dion family. He is known to be a successful businessman who owns the golf club, Le Mirage. 

He is married to Denise Dumont and they are proud parents of four children: Briquette, Dominic, Rachel, and Kim.

3. Claudette Dion

Just like Celine Dion, Claudette is also a professional singer who began a show with her six siblings at Casino de Montréal several years ago. She has released at least seven albums and some of her works include Hymns to Love (1984), Good Evening Edith (1968), and Claudette Dion (1990).

Claudette was married to Rene Morin with whom she had four kids. Their children are Cathy, Steeve, Sebastian, and Celia. She is also a grandmother to at least six grandkids.

4. Liette Dion

Born on February 8, 1950, Liette Dion is the fourth in the Dion family. The 73-year-old maintains a low profile but is known to be married to Guy Poirier. She also used to be a mother of one until she lost her only daughter to Cystic fibrosis in 1993. Her daughter’s name was Karine.

5. Michel Dion

Michael, 71, is as well a music artist. He notably had a singing group called Le Show and performed for several years with the group before retiring in 1987. As stated earlier, Michel sent his sister’s recording to René Angélil who later became her manager and husband. 

Meanwhile, Michel is not married and does not have a child.

 6. Louise Dior

Louise Dior is not as popular as her other siblings. However, she is known to be married to Pierre Tremblay and the pair are proud parents of three children: Annie, Mylene, and Francois.

7. Jacques Dion

Jacques Dion was born on March 10, 1955, as the 7th child of the Dion Family. He is married to Genevieve Garceau with whom he has a son named Jimmy Dion.

Although he is not as famous as Celine, Jacques is also a musical artist.

8. Daniel Dion

Daniel Dion is as well one of Celine’s older siblings. He was born on November 29, 1956, and unfortunately died from cancer on January 16, 2016.

Prior to his death, Daniel was a trained cabinetry worker and also performed with his siblings. He was married to the late Ghyslaine Bujuld and the pair’s children together are Valene, Guillaume, and Marie.

9. Ghislaine Dion

Born on July 28, 1958, Ghislaine is the ninth child of Dion’s family. She is as well a singer who was part of Celine’s backup crew. Ghislaine is married to Jacques Talbot. They are parents to Claude and Audrey, and also grandparents to Charles and Edward.

She is currently battling cancer as she was diagnosed with the disease in 2015.

10. Linda Dion

Linda, 64, is the 10th of all Celine Dion’s siblings and she was born on June 23, 1959. 

Although Linda has been married to Alain Sylvestre for a good while, she does not have a child of her own. Be that as it may, she serves as godmother to Celine’s son Rene-Charles and always takes care of him as her own.

11. Manon Dion

63-year-old Manon Dion is the eleventh child of Dion’s family. She is also known to be the personal assistant to her younger sister Celine. 

Manon is living with her long-time partner Gilles Hacala but they do not have any children together.

12.  Paul Dion

Paul alongside his twin sister Pauline was born on April 3, 1962. He is married to Lucie Hebert and the pair are parents to Justine, Marilene, and Emilie. The 61-year-old is known to be in control of his mother’s charity foundation.

13. Pauline Dion

As earlier stated, Pauline is Paul’s twin sister; she shares the same birthday as him. According to available information, the 61-year-old is a mother of six kids; all of whom she had with her husband Marc Martel. She is also very close to Celine and is the manager of her sister’s fan club.
