VIC: Charges over alleged Templestowe bus stabbing
A teenager has been charged over the alleged stabbing of another teenager on board a bus.
Victoria Police allege the 18-year-old stabbed a 16-year-old boy aboard a bus travelling on Williamsons Rd, Templestowe in Melbourne’s northeast on March 16.
He allegedly fled the scene, while the 16-year-old got off the bus before he was
taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries. He has since been released.
The 18-year-old man, also of Preston, has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday.
Meanwhile, a man was stabbed during a fight in an unrelated stabbing incident in Melbourne’s CBD on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to Bourke St about 3.35pm. The man was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
