Dustin Johnson is currently making a mark in LIV golf and is one of the biggest names who regularly feature in the Saudi-backed rebel league. In fact, the American golfer was a sought-after golfer even in his PGA days, getting some really big tournament wins on a routine basis.

However, there was a time when Johnson was forced to take a leave of absence from the PGA Tour following allegations of having failed three drug tests between 2009 and 2014, for marijuana and cocaine. The same report also alleged that Johnson “had a sexual indiscretion with at least one wife of a PGA Tour player.”

Announcing his hiatus from the tour, the golfer then said, “I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced,” he said. “By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion.”

However, the PGA also clarified that Johnson’s absence was voluntary and that he wasn’t suspended for his actions, in a statement that read: “With regard to media reports that Dustin Johnson has been suspended by the PGA Tour, this is to clarify that Mr Johnson has taken a voluntary leave of absence and is not under a suspension from the PGA Tour.”

As recently as April 2022, Johnson married hockey great Wayne Gretzky’s daughter Paulina, in a highly talked-about marriage for the world of sports.

Newlyweds Johnson and Gretzky, who got engaged in 2013, recently stepped out for the LIV Golf welcome party in Manhattan. There, they mingled with other attendees, including former President Donald Trump. Early in the summer of this year, Johnson had handed in his resignation from the PGA Tour in order to join LIV.

According to reports, he was paid over $125 million to make the switch to LIV. “I picked what’s best for me and my family,” said Johnson, who shares kids Tatum, 7, and River, 5, with Gretzky. Tatum is currently in the seventh grade. River is currently in the fifth grade.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Paulina is a popular actress, model & singer. She has appeared in some the films like Grown Ups 2 (2013), Fame (2009) and Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012). Admitting that singing and song-writing is her first love, Paulina, 33, has also had record deals in the past. She began her singing career much earlier and sang “I Will Remember You” in a public performance at the Heritage Classic back in 2003. 

Currently, Paulina Gretzky boasts of a massive following of over one million on Instagram, and she’s quite active when it comes to sharing updates from her personal life. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Paulina Gretzky has an estimated net worth of a whopping $5 million as of March 2022. 

Gretzky once stated that she’s now more involved in golf since meeting Johnson. During an interview with Golf Digest, she said: “I didn’t appreciate golf as much when I was little, probably because my mum put us in tennis camps and golf camps. My mum has a video of me when I was really young where I’m saying, ‘Daddy, don’t go play golf anymore’”
